This is a personal website for tutorials and data training services. Using it means accepting what follows.
Who may use this site
Anyone, but it is aimed at working professionals. It is not directed at children, and you should be 16 or over to send an enquiry.
What this site is
An information site and a way to get in touch. It publishes tutorials and describes training and consulting services. It is not a shop, a marketplace or a platform: nothing is sold here, no payment is taken here, and you cannot create an account.
Trainings and consulting are agreed separately, by email, after an enquiry. Scope, fees and payment terms are set out in a written quote or contract for each piece of work — nothing on this website constitutes a quote, an offer or a fixed price.
Tutorials and advice
Tutorials and articles are published in good faith and for general guidance. They are not professional advice about your particular data, systems or obligations. Check anything important against your own context before relying on it — especially where health, programme or personal data is involved.
Getting in touch
There is no form on this site; the contact links open your own email program. Send genuine enquiries. Please do not use my address for bulk or automated messages, advertising, abuse, or anything unlawful.
Please also keep sensitive personal data, credentials and confidential third-party data out of a first email — ordinary email is not a secure channel. If a piece of work needs that kind of material, we will agree a safer way to send it.
What happens to what you send is set out in the privacy notice.
Content and copyright
The text, design, code and images on this site belong to Derick TW unless stated otherwise. You may read, link to and quote the site with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.
Tool names — Excel, Power BI, KoboToolbox, ODK, DHIS2, QGIS and the rest — belong to their owners and are used here only to describe what the tutorials cover. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Nothing on this site is user-generated. There are no comments, uploads or profiles, so there is no licence for you to grant and nothing of yours to moderate.
Links to other sites
Links to YouTube, LinkedIn, GitHub and elsewhere are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and I am not responsible for their content.
Availability
The site is offered as it is. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside my control, and pages may change or be removed without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from use of this website or reliance on its free content. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Liability for paid work is governed by the contract for that work, not by this page.

These terms may change. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date below tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA, this does not take away rights you have under the law of your own country.
